The North East Times, a widely circulated daily in the entire North Eastern region, was launched by the GL Publications Ltd. on October 2, 1990. Since then, it has been widely received by the people owing to its unbiased reporting. GL Publications was established in 1989 in Guwahati by Mr. GL Agarwalla, a businessman turned social worker.
